A birthday gift for my wonderful wifey, ~jrk42293. <3 We've been dating for almost 8 months already. It's gone by so fast. We have plans to see each other again in June~
I was gonna wait until tomorrow morning before work to submit this, just to make her wait, but then I got impatient, lol.
SAI almost screwed me over right at the end. All of a sudden I couldn't save, resize, delete layers, merge layers, select anything, etc... said there wasn't enough memory. Luckily I've developed a habit of saving every so often, so I didn't lose too much progress when I closed it and tried again.
I've been working on this for...I wanna say three weeks. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Obviously the drum kit took the longest. I think it's safe to say I'll never draw a drum kit ever again, so enjoy. BT
I'm real proud of this one though. <3 I put in as much detail as I could.
I slacked off a bit on the audience's hands though, and I know it looks bad. <:/ I'm sorry about that. I used a stock image I found online from Shutterstock for the hands. The American Idiot logo on Tre's drum kit and the background, as well as Billie's guitar picks was also found on Google.
I put a lot of time and effort into this one, and I think it turned out beautifully. <3 I'm especially proud of Tre's expression and his drum kit. C:

Wow, this is totally epic! Being a fan of Green Day myself, I can easily notice how accurately you've captured the members and their instruments. I can easily distinguish Mike Dirnt's signature Precision Bass ans well as Billie Joe's signature Stratocaster. The overall atmosphere of the image is very engaging and really gives a feeling of a true rock concert at large, I can almost hear the music myself! The lighting and shading are what complete this image. What would be a powerful, impacting concert withought lighting and effect?
It's good to say that you did an amazing job on this, and this is truly one of the best music-related pics that I have ever seen before.
